
Agent Walker served on the Vice President's detail for both Vice President Cheney and Vice President Biden.
There was no sign of POTUS or VPOTUS but alumni of the Chamber’s Leadership Utah program got an inside look at the agency that is dedicated to protecting those officials.
Agent Walker was hired by the United States Secret Service in 1996. During his career, Walker has worked in may places including New Hampshire where he participated in 55 Presidential Candidacy visits, the Financial Crimes Division in Washington, D.C. where he oversaw the major criminal cases being investigated in the North East region of the United States, and most recently the office of protective operations with specific assignments to the Secretary of Homeland Security and the Vice President of the United States.
The Secret Service was originally formed to deal with the large amount of counterfit money in circulation. The mission of the agency was later expanded to include the protection of the President and Vice President of the United States.The USSS is now part of the Department of Homeland Security but is still charges with investigating treasury related crimes including counterfieting and identity theft.
Leadership Utah was formed in 1984 and began its first training program in January 1985. The Chamber is dedicated to providing the necessary direction to establish, train and support a network of aware and knowledgeable citizens ready to take on the challenges of an ever-changing society.
