LHM President Randy Rigby gives business leaders a tour of the Utah Jazz practice facility at the Zions Bank Basketball Center.
While the Jazz out of town and riding a four-game win streak, Chamber members got a look behind the scenes at the facility where the team trains.
“We’ve actually won 23 of 28,” said Randy Rigby, president and CEO of the Larry H. Miller Sports and Entertainment Companies. ”We have won at least half our games 25 of the past 27 seasons. That says a lot about the philosophy of Larry Miller and the principles we have as an organization. It is also a testament to he support we have from the community and that includes the business community.”
As part of the Chamber’s Breakfast with the Board series, Rigby discussed the performance of the Jazz on the court and in the community. Rigby is particularly proud of the commitment the organization has made to energy conservation. The Green Team (one reason the Jazz are wearing green throw-back uniforms this season) has ambitious goals for the organization, as an employee benefit and with community partners.
“Being energy conscious has made a difference for our organization,” said Rigby. “If we all take minor steps it makes a big impact on out community.”
