The Salt Lake Chamber supports health system reform that focuses on accountability at all levels including patients, providers, purchasers, payers and political leaders. Every Utahn should take more responsibility for their personal health.

The Chamber was represented at the American Heart Association’s Heart on the Hill Day, February 5, in conjunction with their National Wear Red Day campaign. Lieutenant Governor Greg Bell, Senator Allen Christensen, Representative Paul Ray, Senator Patricia Jones and longtime volunteer and Advocacy Task Force Chair Beverly May spoke to the many volunteers that showed up donning their red.

The Chamber supports a number of health reform bills this legislative session and has called for an increase in the tobacco tax to at least the national average.
